Privacy policy

आपकी जानकारी,
आपका भरोसा।

A clear guide to what you share and how Sant Setu works.

  1. The short version

No account, no sign-in, no email and no phone number are required to use Sant Setu.

What you publish — a Sevak profile, a Sadhu-Sant profile, a shared visit — is public inside the app. Everything else stays private to your device.

Your exact location is never shown to anyone. We do not sell data and we run no advertising.

  2. How we know it is you

The first time the app opens it generates a random identifier on your device and sends it with each request. That identifier is the only thing linking you to your Sevak profile, the Sadhu-Sant profiles you manage, your visits and your plans.

It is not tied to your name, your phone or any account. If you clear the app's data or reinstall, a new identifier is created and the old content can no longer be managed from your device.

  3. What you choose to share

Joining as a Sevak requires a display name and a general area, and both are public. An introduction, a photo, an email address, a phone number and payment details are all optional. Your email and phone stay hidden unless you explicitly turn them on.

Payment details you add stay private until you choose to publish them. Published details show a recipient name and any UPI ID, QR image or bank details you entered.

Adding a Sadhu-Sant profile records a name, a general area, a photo of the kutiya and optionally a portrait and a note. No phone number or email is asked for.

A shared visit records a photo, an optional note and the date. Drafts stay private to you until you share them.

Creating or joining an event records the details of the event and, for volunteers, a name and what they will help with.

  4. Location

Location is always optional and is only requested when you tap to add it, using your phone's own permission prompt. You can type an area by hand instead.

If you do share it, the coordinates are stored privately and are never returned by the public profile or map views. Only the general area label is public. The map places one pin per area, not per person.

  5. Photos

Photos are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage; the database keeps only the file reference, type, size and time.

Please note that a photo's address can be opened by anyone who has the link, without the app. Treat any photo you share as public, and only upload photos you have permission to share.

  6. Where your data is stored

The database is Neon Postgres hosted in Singapore. Photos are in Cloudflare R2 in the Asia-Pacific region. The API runs on Microsoft Azure in Central India. This means your information is processed outside India.

  7. App diagnostics

The mobile app includes Google Firebase for crash reports, basic usage analytics, performance traces and push notifications. These report which screens are opened and how the app behaves — not the contents of your profile or your photos.

  8. What we never do

We do not sell or rent your information. We show no advertising and use no advertising trackers. We do not handle, hold or move money.

  9. Your choices

You can delete your own visits in the app at any time, and edit or clear the optional fields on your profile, including your location and payment details.

To erase everything at once, open My space in the app and choose Delete my data. That removes your profile, the Sadhu-Sant profiles you added, your visits, plans, events and every photo you uploaded — including the image files themselves. It is immediate and cannot be undone.

If you have lost the phone or cannot open the app, write to hello@stackhog.com describing the profile and we will remove it. See https://santsetu.stackhog.com/delete-data/ for the full detail.

  10. Children

Sant Setu is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

  11. Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will change and the app will point here. Questions go to hello@stackhog.com.
